Find your balance with therapeutic massage.

About Me

My Style

Whether you are new to massage therapy or a regular recipient of bodywork, finding a practitioner who is a good fit for your needs is the first step to reaping the benefits of massage. Read on to learn more about my practice, and feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

My approach to massage therapy creates a unique experience, tailored to each client’s needs. Utilizing Swedish and deep tissue massage, I also incorporate elements of sports massage, trigger point, craniosacral, and myofascial release therapies. Before each session, you and I will discuss your needs and wants, and we will devise a bodywork experience just for you. If you are new to massage or simply have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Your comfort and safety are paramount to healthy and healing massage therapy, so I encourage you to reach out with any concerns or questions.

My Training

I am a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. I became nationally certified in 2004 by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. Additionally, I received my Bachelor’s from Northwestern University and my Master’s from the University of Chicago. I believe in lifelong learning!

Services

Therapeutic Massage
This technique combines long, gliding strokes with deep pressure techniques to promote relaxation, enhance circulation, and alleviate specific points of discomfort in your soft tissue. Whether you’re seeking stress relief or deep tissue massage, we will tailor this experience to your needs.

Prenatal Massage
Utilizing pillows, bolsters, and a side-lying position to maximize your comfort, this massage caters to your body’s specific needs. During a time when your body is changing rapidly, this experience provides stress relief for both your body and brain.

Massage for Athletes
Every athlete experiences restriction, pain, or injury from time to time. Combining sports massage and deep tissue techniques, we will create a targeted plan to decrease your pain, increase range of motion, and get you back to peak performance!

Plan Your Visit

What should you expect for your massage?

Whether you are seeking massage for stress/anxiety relief, for pain reduction, or to increase range of motion, we will determine – together! – what parts of the body to focus on. If you have an injury or area that needs extra attention, we will craft a treatment plan around that area. If you seek general relaxation, I can design a massage protocol that allows you to breathe deeply and find inner calm.

No matter what, you should be comfortable. Let me know if there are specific areas to avoid or if you have concerns about any part of your massage.

What should you wear for your massage?

After the initial assessment, I will leave the room so that you can get undressed to your level of comfort and lie under the sheet on the massage table. Some clients prefer no clothing, some prefer to keep on their undergarments, and some prefer to remain completely clothed. It’s your choice. Throughout the massage, I move the covers around you, always maintaining your privacy.

What if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with 24 hours notice or less, the card on file will be charged 50%, based on the regular price of the cancelled service. If you do not show up, the card on file will be charged in full.

If you do need to cancel or reschedule, please do so as soon as you are aware that your schedule has changed.Thank you.
